ABOUT
Dauntless Promotion was founded in January 2003 to specialize in Noncommercial A3 (Adult Album Alternative) radio when it was emerging from college and NPR as a viable and impactful format alongside its Commercial A3 counterpart. Since then, some Commercial A3 stations have embraced Noncommercial A3’s philosophy of playing challenging, alternative artists that satisfy an educated, sometimes younger, music-fan-focused demo, without alienating their older audience. I call what I do “adult tastemaker radio promotion.”

I’ve been in radio promotion for 18+ years, working in A3, College and NPR formats for a few groundbreaking, boutique record labels (Windham Hill, High Street, Putumayo World Music) and independent promoters. Before that, I studied recording engineering and worked in college radio at San Francisco and Chico State Universities, interned at a music supervision company and at Brilliant Studios. I’m also a part-time musician and songwriter and have played in several San Francisco and Portland bands. Currently I am trying to find time to learn Louvin Brothers covers while caring for twins!
